Think about this

These words are not mine. However I do think they are important enough for anyone passing by this blog to read. Let this information soak in and to the brother or sister who wrote this, God Bless you

Fool us once, shame on us. Fool us twice shame on us. Fool us three times, four times, finally we see you for what you are, and the shame is on you. After seeing your reaction to the events of the past couple of days, it suddenly occurred to me that you are not a leader; you are a reactionary--a meek and incompetent one at that.

When the planes hit the towers on September 11th, you sat there frozen like deer in a headlight, unable to do anything. You were no where to be seen for a couple of days, and you finally show up in New York, drape yourself in the glory of the firefighters, and said some macho words to a nation shaken and in need of a "rock". We never knew that the rock was within the same week planning to take us to Iraq. Nonetheless, when the time came for responsibility, you passed the buck. "Who could have predicted planes would be used as weapons", this was the mantra you adopted to cover your asses, notwithstanding that the CIA, FBI, and every other acronym you can think of not only predicted it, they were briefing you about that very possibility while you were "vacationing" in Crawford.

While you were playing golf and mowing down shrubs, terrorists were on their way to mowing down the towers. But no one wanted to question you, we gave you a chance, we gave you the benefits of the doubt, and a terrified country in need of self assurance entrusted you with a mandate. You took us to war with no plan other than "hey they will like us". No weapons of mass destruction: "Who would have known that there would be no WMD"? As in the first incident, the answer was laid out to you by the IAEA, the very same people you called incompetent and not trust worthy. So they end up being right and your brush it aside as if though it was a petty detail. I see a pattern developing here....

So on and on we went for four years, incompetence followed by lies and it's not our fault. Your administration exposes a CIA operative, a federal crime, and yet Carl Rove is still by your side concocting perfect camera ops and surrounding you with folks who seem to think words from your mouth drip out with the purity of gold.

Well the lies and B.S. stop here. Don't go down to New Orleans and use those victims which you ignored for four days for camera ops. Don't go kissing on folks down there that are crying because of lost loved ones when it suits you bringing the whores of the media to click away while you try yet once again to walk amongst the firemen and national guard to regain some stature. Just like September 11th, you were off doing some speech a thousand miles away when your presence was needed. Just like September 11th you were on vacation days before the hurricane hit, then you fly out to some inoculated public relations escapade, this time in San Diego, as your fellow citizens drowned and died by the thousands. Maybe this is what you mean by faith based initiative, pray to God to look out for you because your government won’t. You and your whole lot, including Condoleezza Rice who was out shoe shopping in New York for thousand dollar shoes and the next day she is the “black face” of the administration who tries to tell us how she is connected to the people in the New Orleans because she is from Alabama.

Bush, spare us the fake photo ops, the written words with which you fumble with, the jokes you try to make even at the worse of times as if though you were entertaining a dinner party. Go back to Crawford; your presence is not needed. And this is not to excuse the feeble democrats who continue to get bulldozed by you, those who are afraid to fight for what they believe in because of some innate fear of being labeled as unpatriotic. It’s time that people start looking further than the sound bites and the photo ops and look at the deeds. You will see the next few days an intensive effort to produce an emotional connection between the president and the rest of the country. You will see him hugging strangers, “comforting” the victims, and walking amongst soldiers and volunteers all in the effort to make it seem that he is really leading. Let us not forget what happened for FOUR days while he was not around. Let’s not forget what happened to the thousands of people who were left to fend for themselves while their government failed to give them the basic necessities of water and food. If leadership is measured by words and nice pictures, we have the right man for the job. If leadership is measured by action and a vested interest in the welfare of those less fortunate, then its high time we all wake up and realize that we have a man in office who is too disconnected from reality too speak to a grieving nation.
