Mr. Harley Jackson

This morning as I arrived to work, on my mind was the people who lost everything in New Orleans. I was feeling really good today; some happiness was finally instilled back into my crazy life. As I arrived to work and turned on the radio in my office I turned to ABC news on the radio dial. The reporter was interviewing a man who lost everything including his heart and love, his wife. His name was Harley Jackson and I am not sure the name of his wife but he explains with tears that he was holding on to her, as a 20-foot wave was coming. Harley had his kids and wife in his possession for dear life. His wife spoke to him at the time of the hurricane was a full strength. She told him to take care of the kids and then she let go of his hand. He begins to cry as he spoke and a tear began to run down my face. You can tell he loved her and she sacrificed her self for her husband and kids. (WOW) That’s love yall. I thought I lost love this week over some bullshit. But that fact was it never left and the argument was over nothing really. This man lost his life as he knew it and now he has to pick up and start all over again. My prayers go out to this man and his family that survived. My heart goes out again to everyone. I will do my part to contribute to those people that needs so much.
